The Challenge

Oaklands Nursery was earlier being provided with their telephone systems and broadband for both their premises by a large telecom supplier, whose services they weren’t happy with. Their services lacked personalisation and aftercare. Being a nursery with children on the premises, a number of restrictions and high levels of caution had to be practised to maintain an infrastructure that is safe and compliant for children.

What we Proposed

For the purposes of upgrading their telecommunications infrastructure, new cabling in both the premises was essential which demanded meticulous planning so as to keep cables and equipment out of harm’s way of the children, all the phones in the children’s barred from outgoing calls.

The Result

  • V4 successfully installed latest IP Technology phone systems by LG on both premises replacing the old digital phone system.
  • Successful installation of new cabling and equipment out of harm’s way of the children
  • All phones in the children’s area barred from making outbound calls (a very specific need of Oakland)
  • The client now being able to make use of a fully automated night service
  • The client is able to use features like voicemail to email services, something the customer has not been able to make use of before
  • Successful upgrade to super-fast fibre broadband at both sites
  • Fully managed routers by V4 and Wi-Fi extension throughout both buildings
  • Lastly, but delightfully Oaklands Nursery also managed to bag a FREE 49 inch LG Television as part of V4’s promotional incentive at the time.

We decided to change our telephone supplier this year at both our day nurseries and have placed this in the hands of V4 Telecom. We encountered numerous difficulties with our previous supplier but none with V4 Telecom. We have been appointed a dedicated person (Ben) to oversee the installation of the new systems and he and I speak on a regular basis regarding where we are up to. He is able to answer any questions regarding the system we have chosen and the way it is to be invoiced etc. I could not be happier with this way of operating as it is reassuring to know that Ben is always on the end of the phone/email should I need to contact him. You don't get this level of service with larger companies, I'm sure.
